Day 03: Delhi - Leh Flight (3445mtrs)
Boarding in the flight for Leh at the Delhi airport at 6.00hr and arrive Leh by 07:15 hrs. Assistance on arrival and get check in to a local hotel. Rest through out the day for acclimatization.
Day 04: Leh
A full day sight seeing at the famous monasteries. The morning prayer of the Thiksey monastery is one of the most recommended events to witness. After which drive further to Hemis monastery, one of the most popular monastery in the region. On the way back, visit Shey palace, the ancient summer capital of Ladakh. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Leh
A half day tour of Spituk and Phyang monastery. In the afternoon, visit Namgyal Tsemo and Leh Palace, Sankar Gonpa and a walk to the Leh market to end the day. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Leh - Khardongla Pass - Leh
A day tour to Khardongla Pass (5600mts), the highest motorable pass in the world. From the top of the pass, you can have the panoramic view of both the Karakoram range to the north and the Zankar range to the south.
Day 07: Leh – Lamayuru
After the morning b/f depart for Lamayuru via Khaltse. Visit Lamayuru monastery and drive back to Alchi. Visit Alchi temple and spend the remaining time there in Alchi. Alchi is one of the oldest monastery built in 11th century famous for its painting. Over night stay hotel at Alchi.
Day 08: Alchi – Leh
Drive back to Leh via Rizong monastery and Likir monastery. Over night stay at hotel in Leh.
Day 09:Leh
During the last day of this 9 day long tour we visit the Stok palace. The palace has now become a living museum. On the way back visit Tibetan refugee colony at Choglamsar and also visit the handicraft centre of the colony.
Day 10: Back to Delhi
Depart for Delhi from the Leh airport and say JULLEY for your onward destination. |
